Roy Stewart from olosurfer.com has shaped us up some beautiful Alaia and Paipo boards and they look sweet. Looking forward to giving them a spin at Te Awanga.
check these vids out for a bit more background on the origin of these ancient Hawaiian boards.

Nikki Gabriel has landed in napier from melbourne with her husband and is settling in to the new surrondings and a new life in napier. Nikki specialises in knitwear made from alpaca and wool. She also produces these fun kniting kits along with patterns, wool or alpaca and big thick needles. we are lucky to have a few knitting kits instore right now and think it might be time to rekindle that knitting past time i practiced when i was a youngin’.

maybe because we live down in the bay that we are a bit out of touch and slow on the uptake but last night i saw these cushions made by ask alice and was stopped in my tracks. i really fancy these crocheted cushions. i really admire the detail, especially the hand stitched type, very nice.
