Hinemoa & Tutanekai

I was browsing Grain Edit and i came accross this beauty which stopped me in my tracks. It is a postcard that depicts the story of Hinemoa & Tutanekai designed by Keith-yin Sun and Judi Chan of Pigeon Post based in Canada. They are pretty sweet and this has to be my favourite because of it’s content.

Change The Thought

The great thing about the internet is making connections and while browsing my stats i noticed page views coming from changethethought.com. I investigated and realised it is a site i remember checking a year or so ago and coveting a few of the prints. Change the Thought is “a resource for the global creative community” with contributors from around the globe. Sweet.

Fight till the Death

Rockwell Clothing is a brand hailing from the red light district in Amsterdam. Rockwell is a two man show with graphic master and illustrator Parra and business head Alecto. Parra has in recent years carved out a niche all of his own with his bright and bold style working for brand giants such as Nike, Zoo York, Volkswagen, Foot Locker and Ben and Jerrys as well as record labels Stones Throw and Rush Hour. Parra spent his early years skateboarding and when he was 21 moved to Amsterdam where he studied the street art throughout the city by looking and listening to people like Delta. Rockwell begun as a small t-shirt brand producing tees for themselves and the local Amsterdam scene and has grown from their to now be found in cities all over the world and now including Napier NZ. We are pleased to announce the arrival of the Quiet Life. It’s a small project by acclaimed graphic master and photographer Andy Mueller and Jennifer Pitt. Andy has worked with girl skateboards, lakai footwear and chocolate skateboards and has produced exclusive designs for upper playground and 2K by gingham.

Here’s a little something about Andy:
Andy Mueller was raised in the mid-west on a healthy diet of BMX, skateboarding, music and magazines. At an early age, Andy became addicted to the art of image making and photo taking. In 1993, Andy founded OhioGirl Design, a small design/photo/film studio. In 1997, Andy started “The Quiet Life”, as an outlet for purely creative ideas, with a few friends from within OhioGirl.
