Thanks for all your entries. Here is the judges choice for the winning entry from those submitted. You can still decide on the peoples choice by commenting on your favourite design and let us know which one you like.

We had a good response from some of the local schools and for those schools that did get involved we appreciate your effort.

One comment is that some of the entries did not follow the guidelines and submissions were not to the specifications outlined in the How to Enter instructions above. It is important for students to present and format their artwork correctly, this may have been a technology restriction some schools face so we overlooked this factor when judging.

Theme: Local Identity

How do we define our own identity? What are the cool things that make us kiwi or represent where we come from?

Aroha Lamour is asking secondary students throughout Hawkes’ Bay to interpret “Local Identity” into a creative t-shirt design.

You can help decide who wins by voting. We will post the entries here and you can vote for your favourite designs.

Details:
• The design must be limited to 4 colours
• Print should not go over the seams or neck of the shirt
• Designs may be hand-drawn, painted, computer generated, collaged or photographed (or a combination of techniques)
• Copyright material or logos will not be accepted
• Obscene language or imagery will not be accepted

Note: Entries do not need to be literal or obvious interpretations of this theme. The theme is intended to offer a starting point for brainstorming and developing a design.

Prize:
The winner will receive a commission contract with Aroha Lamour: the winning design will be displayed in the shop, and the designer will receive 25% of each sale. The better the design the more it will sell and the more money you can make. The winner will also receive 5 free t-shirts with their printed design.

How to Enter:
hb-schools-t-shirt-comp-09 t-shirt design template and open in illustrator or Photoshop and place your design onto t-shirt. Or submit a high res jpeg for your submission.
